A Memorable Day Out at Fantasy Kingdom, Ashulia, Dhaka
Sometimes the best plans are the ones made on a whim. On a holiday morning, while chatting about a casual outing with friends, we suddenly thought of visiting Fantasy Kingdom Theme Park in Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. Just an hour and a half drive from Dhaka, it seemed like the perfect place for a refreshing one-day group trip. After a quick discussion with our friends, we picked a date, and just like that, our day out was set. In total, 50 of us, including both adults and kids, joined the trip. For booking, we called the Fantasy Kingdom hotline, where a friendly representative explained all the details of the group package. This package included breakfast upon arrival, lunch, evening snacks, entry to Fantasy Kingdom with 12 rides, and entry to Water Kingdom with unlimited rides. The initial price was BDT 1,945 per person, but after negotiating, we settled on BDT 1,900 per person. It was a great deal considering what was included.
The Journey Begins
On the day of the visit, we started our journey at 7:30 AM by bus. The ride felt short as we talked, sang, and enjoyed each other’s company. Before we knew it, we arrived at the main gate of Fantasy Kingdom at 9:00 AM. Even though it was a Friday and the park opens at 10:00 AM, we had already informed them during booking that we would arrive early for breakfast. At the entrance, we checked in at the information office, where the team promptly handed over our breakfast, lunch, and refreshment coupons, ride tickets, and wristbands. A representative from Fantasy Kingdom welcomed us warmly and explained the breakfast arrangements, lunch, and refreshment times and locations. Once the wristbands were on our wrists, we were ready to start our adventure.
Breakfast & First Impressions
Before hitting the rides, we enjoyed a group photo session in front of the main gate. It was a perfect way to capture our excitement for the day. Breakfast was set up for us at Lia Restaurant, where the staff was ready to serve us a semi-buffet meal. After freshening up, we sat down for breakfast, which was delicious and satisfying. The crispy paratha was almost like a cyclone paratha and paired perfectly with the vegetable dishes. After finishing with tea, we left feeling energized and ready for the rides. The restaurant manager let us know that lunch and evening refreshments would also be served at Lia Restaurant. We scheduled lunch for 3:00 PM and evening snacks for 6:00 PM.
Thrills at Fantasy Kingdom
Once the park officially opened, we jumped right into the rides, starting with Bumper Cars. We followed it with Whirly Birds, Izzy Dizzy, and the newly added Drop & Twist Tower. Even though this new ride wasn’t part of our package, we happily bought separate tickets because it was totally worth it. Next was the thrilling Magic Carpet, which was both exciting and a little scary. The highlight, of course, was the signature Roller Coaster. It was exhilarating and incredibly fun. We enjoyed it so much that we planned to ride it again later, after experiencing everything else.
Splashing Fun at Water Kingdom
By 1:00 PM, we made our way to Water Kingdom. After changing clothes in the separate male and female changing rooms, we rented lockers for our belongings and took tubes with refundable deposits. We started with the Family Pool, floated along the Lazy River, tried various slides, and finally jumped into the Wave Pool, which was a blast. With upbeat DJ music and artificial waves, everyone was fully engaged and having a great time. We spent nearly two hours in Water Kingdom. A nice surprise was their new Foam Party attraction. It thrilled the kids and added extra joy to our experience.
Lunch, Games & Celebrations
After changing back, we realized how hungry we were. Apart from breakfast, we had only had some ice cream inside Water Kingdom. By the time we reached Lia Restaurant around 3:30 PM, lunch was ready. The lunch spread was fresh, tasty, and satisfying-Polaw, chicken roast, mutton rezala, fish, salad, soft drinks, mineral water, and pudding. The mutton rezala stood out for its tenderness and rich flavor; it was juicy and perfectly cooked. After lunch, we organized fun activities for the kids, followed by a raffle draw with prizes for the winners. During the prize-giving ceremony, we realized we had forgotten our hand microphone. When we asked the Fantasy Kingdom team for one, they provided it quickly, and we truly appreciated their help.
Wrapping Up a Perfect Day
Around 6:45 PM, we enjoyed our evening refreshments, and soon it was time to prepare for our return. After settling all dues and collecting the receipt, we made sure not to miss one last ride on the Roller Coaster. It was the perfect way to end the day. Finally, we left Fantasy Kingdom at 7:45 PM and reached home safely, bringing countless memories with us.
Final Thoughts
The entire outing was remarkable and joyful. From thrilling rides to delicious food, exciting water activities to warm hospitality, the day was filled with laughter and togetherness. The representatives at Fantasy Kingdom were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. This made the experience even better. This day at Fantasy Kingdom and Water Kingdom will surely stay in our hearts for a long time-a truly unforgettable group trip.
